Calligraphy Artist
Denise
has lived in the
Macedon
Ranges
for the past thirty years.
Since retiring from a career in the racing industry, she has extended
a lifelong interest in all of the different art streams, in particular
botanical art.
Calligraphy also provides a means of expressing and interpreting
another of Denise's passions - writing poetry. As nature is so
diverse, she feels that the inspiration for either depicting the
plant world as a botanical art subject, or writing poetry to celebrate
the bounty of nature , is quite boundless.
In some of her work, - the three meld quite sympathetically –
botanical art, poetry and calligraphy combine to celebrate the
infinite beauty of nature . The
Macedon
Ranges
is the perfect place to
watch the changing seasons and be inspired to create.
The latter part of the Pre-Raphaelite movement , and the Arts
and
Crafts Movement is very much admired by Denise.
