My
love of glass began over 40 years ago when I had a small glass
paperweight collection. I became interested in working with glass when I
attended a local leadlighting class. With lots of scrap glass handy, I
decided to venture into mosaics. This led me to becoming a member of the
Mosaic Association of Australia and New Zealand (MAANZ). In the last 6
years, I have participated in a number of MAANZ exhibitions throughout
Australia. Late
2005, I attended a fused glass workshop and also a lampwork workshop in
Melbourne. After purchasing a kiln and other equipment, I have enjoyed
playing with glass at my home based studio. I
am also a member of the Bead Society of Victoria (BSU). For the last two
years, I have participated in their annual bead expo in November. I aim
to attend at least -2 new workshops each year to grow my skills. --o0o--
