Dianne Dawe: Knitter and Photographer

When I was 4, my aunt introduced me to knitting so I could make outfits for my dolls & teddy. That love of knitting grew over the years, as I knitted for myself, then my children & now for the Gallery. I find it very relaxing & seem to only knit in front of TV?

Photography was a passion of my father. I can always remember him having a camera wherever we went - my childhood is mainly on slides. At age 8, I received my first camera, complete with settings. Dad was resolute about teaching all the finer points from that time. Now with the digital era, I've relished the times I can take many photos, then edit or delete as I choose. I now make coffee table books of my holidays as I think it's much easier to pick up a book, rather a computer screen!
