The Gallery Mt Macedon can be found in the small village of Mt Macedon high on the southern slopes of the mountain.
It is situated behind the church, down the laneway alongside The Trading Post Cafe.
Within the picturesque setting of tall gums and established gardens of the mount, The Gallery is a perfect place to visit, spending a little time exploring the wonderful art from the Macedon Ranges.
The Gallery has been a feature in the region for twenty years and continues to provide a fantastic range of exhibitions from, not only the gallery collective members, but a host of visiting artists who display their works on a monthly basis in the Focus Room exhibition space.
The collective artists of TGMM are all locals and demonstrate a vast array of skills and media types in their works. One of them is on duty each day.
Close by are places to pick up a tasty lunch including The Trading Post out front.
And for garden lovers, just next door is Stephan Ryan’s, Dicksonia rare plants nursery.
Focus Room Exhibitions
The Gallery provides a fantastic range of monthly changing exhibitions in their year long calendar.
Often one or more members will showcase a deeper exploration of their interests in a series collection, and very often, Visiting Artists bring different skills and techniques with their body of work on display temporarily.

November Focus Room Exhibition
Three Studio Painters
Three local artists and longtime friends, Madeleine Bethal, Gyda Currie and Susan Ehrenberg come together weekly to paint in oil and share food. “Three Studio Painters” is an exhibition of their combined body of work of individual interpretations.
These artists were inspired by art from an early age and after leading busy and quite adventurous working lives, have nurtured their shared love of tonal realism oil painting. Each week they choose a subject which could be still life, landscape or portraiture. They always endeavour to have their canvasses covered before sharing lunch!
Susan, Madeleine and Gyda would like to show visitors to The Gallery (both local and travellers) how friendship, artistic enjoyment and the practice of painting together enriches their lives and those of their viewers with their beautiful work.
“Three Studio Painters” exhibition takes place from Tuesday 3 November until Sunday 29 November.
The Gallery is at 684 Mount Macedon Road, Mt. Macedon behind the Trading Post, open Friday to Tuesday, 10am to 4pm. Look for the bright signs next to the Trading Post and head down the lane.
